Manual or Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage? Know the difference…

There is an abundance of confusion online these days that draw 'lymphatic drainage' massages under one umbrella. However, like many other treatments, there is actually an array of techniques & type of lymphatic drainage massages you can have!

The main 2 types are the Manual technique & Brazilian technique.

While they may sound similar, they were created for very different purposes and produce very different results.

The Brazilian technique targets 'body contouring' & is a sculpting massage to provide aesthetic results. A vigorous pressure is used alongside wooden tools or cups to give you short term sculpting & fat re-distribution. This is a treatment I will not be offering.

The Manual technique I fell in love with is solely focused on the internal health & wellbeing of your body. We focus on reducing swelling & water retention, removing toxins & bacteria, & reducing inflammation throughout. This is perfect for those who have bloating & digestive issues, a low immune system, or need some gentle relaxation.

A light pressure is required to specifically target the lymphatic system which lies underneath the surface of your skin. There are over 600 lymph nodes throughout your body, all acting as a filter to manage the fluid entering & leaving your blood stream.
